Hello Friends of Care Net,
Happy New
Year!! We pray that you are enjoying the chance to begin a new year,
turn over
a new leaf, begin a new resolution or whatever you do to ring in the new
year.
Whatever
it is: praise God in it!! We praise God for those of you who have joined
us over
the last
year and for those who have been partnering with us all along. We cannot
do it without you!!
We have finished
the latest parenting classes. We have also finished a one-on-one birthing
class.
We have
had a few repeat clients. We were given ten gift bags containing
children’s Bibles and
beautiful
hand made baby quilts. One of our volunteers called our repeat clients
and offered
each a quilt.
We really have built a relationship with these women. It’s so exciting
to see God work!!
We have updated
our website to include info on STDs. Some of us worked to organize and
rearrange
the Baby Boutique. It has winter clothes out now. We have talked to the
Salvation Army;
we are hoping
to partner with them to be a site for people to come for vouchers. We have
also
heard from
Focus on the Family, they have welcomed us to their ministry partnership
and
we received
many wonderful resources.
We
are having a parenting/baby care class starting Jan 29, lasting for four
sessions at Kennett High School.
Please pray
and get the word out to those interested. God is working and we are making
contacts with
those who
desperately need help and information that is truly practical. Pray
that we are a safe place
and a listening
ear to those who attend.
